The meeting was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of parties and non-governmental non-profit organizations and mass media.

The event was aimed at familiarizing with modern nuclear energy technologies and their environmental safety.

Participants were informed about nuclear power plant construction project in Uzbekistan, in particular, advantages of the VVER-1200 reactor belonging to “3+” generation.

A tour to the Information Center of Nuclear Technologies was organized and information was provided about operation principle of nuclear power plant under construction in Uzbekistan, as well as on the use of nuclear technology in other industries, in particular, in medicine and agriculture.

On July 7, Jizzakh will host meeting with participation of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specialists of Rosatom State Corporation and Uzatom Agency dedicated to development of nuclear power in Uzbekistan and construction of a nuclear power plant.
