UzA, WAM sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On 23 March, Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA and the Emirates News Agency – WAM signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of news.

The document was signed at WAM’s office in Dubai. The signing ceremony was attended by UzA Director-General Abdusaid Kuchimov, WAM Director-General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi and Communication and International Relations Director at WAM Ali Yousef Al Saad.

This event fits into the partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE in various sectors, supported by the leadership of both countries.

WAM Director-General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi informed about the activities of the agency.

Emirates News Agency – WAM, established in 1976, is the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates. It covers the most important socio-political, economic, cultural and other events. The WAM currently cooperates with over 50 news agencies from around the world. 

“The Agency operates in 19 languages. Now we intend to disseminate news in Uzbek”, said WAM Director-General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi. – We are very pleased to sign a Memorandum with Uzbekistan National News Agency. I believe that our friendship and brotherhood will strengthen.

The MOU provides opportunities for the implementation of personnel exchange programs to improve their skills, as well as the joint organization of events.

Most importantly, the established cooperation will contribute to further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
