Thanks to the thoughtful, mutually beneficial, and pragmatic foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, significant results have been achieved in recent years in developing friendly relations with foreign countries.
Positive transformations in the country increase the world community’s interest in it and increase its prestige in the international arena. Consistent reforms, in turn, enable media structures to develop cooperation with the world’s leading news agencies, establish information exchange, and promptly provide the population with objective, truthful information about events taking place in the world.
It is worth noting that the scope of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the countries of South America has been expanding in various fields in recent years. However, due to Argentina’s unique and influential position in the region, the regular exchange of information with this country is not just important, but essential for our mutual growth and understanding.
UzA has taken a significant step towards fostering comprehensive cooperation with the Argentine Republic. In a landmark move, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the prestigious Latin America News Agency, marking the beginning of a unique partnership in the information sector with the South American continent.
This initiative is not just a step, but a leap towards establishing a groundbreaking partnership in the information sector with the South American continent. It's worth noting that no such document has been signed with any South American country before, making this a significant development.
LANA (Latin America News Agency) is a reputable news agency that transmits news worldwide. The Agency, headquartered in Buenos Aires, has signed agreements with approximately 20 partners in Europe, Africa, and Asia. The publication’s network of foreign correspondents, which disseminates information primarily in English and Spanish, is the largest in the region.
This important document was signed online by Abdusaid Kuchimov, the Director General of the Uzbekistan National News Agency, and Juan Manuel Fonrouge, the Latin America News Agency CEO.
Mr. Kuchimov noted that strengthening relations with the media on a global scale is considered a strategic goal of the Agency.
“Currently, we are actively exchanging information with many major news agencies in the world”, said the UzA Director General. “Partnership with LANA allows us to quickly inform our readers about events affecting not only Argentina, but the entire continent. LANA is the first media partner of UzA in South America”.
Notably, this memorandum aims to cover news related to both countries, regional and global issues, establish a dialogue between different cultures, mutually exchange experience through large-scale and practical cooperation, and create an objective and reliable information space using the UzA and LANA platforms.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to cooperate with UzA”, LANA CEO Juan Manuel Fonrouge said. “It should be noted that this is the first step towards cooperation with the Central Asian region. I follow UzA articles in Spanish. This Agency is a reliable source for disseminating Uzbekistan news to the Spanish public. As a Spanish-speaking country, we will use this information extensively”.
According to the memorandum, the two agencies will now work closely and will be able to exchange articles, photographs, and videos.
