“Choice of the Year – 2020”

Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA holds the “Choice of the Year – 2020” Award.

Transformations significant for the entire population that was introduced during the year were identified during the competition. Thus, the reforms in the system of registration of citizens became worthy of the “Innovation of the Year” nomination. The award was presented to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Rustam Khotamov.

In 2020, the requirement for a permanent residence permit for the acquisition of real estate was abolished in Tashkent and the capital region.

A new practice has been introduced: now, upon registration of citizens at the place of residence, they are issued a registration sheet with a protective QR code.

These transformations helped people to solve the long-term problems associated with registration.
