Two correspondents and a photojournalist of Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA were awarded at the International Competition for the XVI National Award “Oltin Qalam” (Golden Pencil).

This year, several UzA correspondents took part in the Golden Pencil competition with their articles. Norgul Abduraimova, head of the Agency’s Legislation, Legal Advocacy and Anti-Corruption Department took first place in the competition for Internet Journalism in the nomination “National Award for the Best Journalistic Material”.

An employee of this department, Shuhrat Nematov, was awarded by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Uzbekistan.

A photojournalist for Surkhandarya region of the Agency’s Photo Editorial Office, Jonibek Quzimurodov, received an incentive award.
