On October 16, a delegation of the U.S. Department of Commerce will arrive in Tashkent.

This was stated at a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Javlon Vakhabov by the U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago, who will lead the American delegation.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the agenda of the upcoming visit and the prospects for enhancing mutually beneficial partnership. The representative of the U.S. Department of Commerce expressed readiness to assist in promoting joint programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral trade-investment relations.

Meetings are planned to be held in several ministries and agencies, visits to the production facilities of American and domestic companies, a briefing with members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan AmCham Uzbekistan.
