Representatives of the World Health Organization and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital became familiar with activities conducted in Uzbekistan in the field of early diagnosis and treatment of pediatric oncology.

A delegation led by Carlos Rodriguez-Galindo, Director of this well-known American medical institution, visited medical facilities and repositories of medicines and vaccines.

Accompanied by Deputy Minister of Health Elmira Basitkhanova and Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Bahodir Yusupaliyev, the guests visited the republican vaccine warehouse.   

The delegation members will stay in Uzbekistan until February 28 and will hold several meetings while studying the platform’s work.
