U.S. citizens celebrate a marriage ceremony on Registan Square
11:25 / 2022-07-06

The marriage ceremony of U.S. citizens Marshall Mayer and Ebru Can took place on Registan Square in Samarkand.

Ebru, who was born in Türkiye, asked Marshall to come on their first date on a bike, and they went on a long bike ride together. Then Ebru offered to visit Nargis Café restaurant on Brighton Beach, where Uzbek dishes are prepared. As it turned out, Marshall also loves Uzbek national dishes. Here the young couple had an interesting time discussing plans.

This event took place two years ago on July 4, and this date was unforgettable for the couple. For two years, they have prepared a solid foundation for living together, engaged in entrepreneurial activities. They bought an olive orchard in Türkiye and are now planning to present their olive oil to guests at their wedding celebration this September.

Since the love story of Marshall and Ebru began in an Uzbek restaurant, they did not think long about where to hold the marriage ceremony, and chose Registan Square in the city of Samarkand.

“Samarkand is a city that personifies eternity. May our love also be eternal”, the newlyweds wished.

The marriage of U.S. citizens was registered by the employees of the Marriage House of the city of Samarkand.
