Delegation of Uzbekistan took part in a workshop on trade and economic cooperation of the countries of the economic belt of the Silk Road 2018, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China.

As reported by the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the workshop was organized for employees of state institutions and other departments of such countries as Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan. The delegation of Uzbekistan consisted of representatives of the NAPM under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Investments and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the workshop, participants were informed about the current state and prospects of development of trade and economic cooperation between Xinjiang and neighboring countries along the Silk Road, Xinjiang’s investment environment and the use of foreign investment, development of cross-border e-commerce and benefits of Xinjiang in this sphere.

Participants of the workshop visited Goldwind, Xin Jiang Yu Nong Guo Ye Co., Ltd, DE&E enterprises, as well as got acquainted with activities of Xinjiang cross-border commercial enterprise, advanced regime of investment platform of Urumqi zone of economic and technological development, trade companies such as YelinMall and Yema Group, Shanghai Lansheng export-import company and international exhibition center, China-Eurasia Expo exhibition, etc.
