The capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China hosted the Uzbekistan – China Interregional Investment, Tourism, and Trade Forum.
More than 1,200 representatives of ministries, industrial associations, and businesspeople of the two countries attended it.

A delegation from Bukhara region also attended the forum. Several agreements were reached.
Memorandums and agreements were signed between Chinese tourism organizations that are part of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and representatives of the tourism industry, tourism enterprises, and organizations of Bukhara region.

At a meeting with the Mayor of Urumqi, Memtimin Qadir, an agreement was reached to send 10 thousand tourists from Urumqi to the ancient cities of Uzbekistan – Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, and to establish permanent charter flights with authorized organizations on the route Urgench – Urumqi (Urumqi – Urgench – Samarkand – Bukhara) for the travel of 55 thousand Chinese.
Thus, in collaboration with relevant organizations, it is planned to develop special programs related to the implementation of the 7-day trips Urumqi – Khiva – Bukhara – Samarkand – Tashkent – Urumqi and 5-day trips Urumqi – Bukhara – Samarkand – Tashkent, Urumqi – Khiva – Bukhara – Samarkand – Urumqi.
