The Urgench branch of the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan has been established in pursuance of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 22, 2021.

One of the main tasks of the branch is training highly qualified bachelors and masters in dance art, as well as scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with the potential to conduct in-depth research in this area.

The branch has a department for further development of “Lazgi” performance, which will be engaged in the creation of a golden fund of samples of the performance of this dance.

The new education institution will open a permanent exhibition covering the history of the creation and development of “Lazgi” dance, a library of samples of creativity created in the direction of “Lazgi” performance, a gallery of clothing samples, an exhibition hall, and an art cafe related to the mentioned dance, as well as children’s amateur theater-studio “Lazgi”.

The educational process at the branch will begin in the 2021/2022 academic year.
