The Second International Handicrafts Festival will be held in Kokand on September 21-23 this year. The main events of the festival are planned to be held in Urda Square. The Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent, and the regions have begun preparations to exhibit their folk art products.
Representatives of Bukhara region are carrying out lively preparations for this festival. The attention of many will be attracted by the symbols of Bukhara they made – the Kalon and Chor-Minor minarets.
Brothers Khakimjon and Khabibjon Raimov from Bukhara region are making models of the mentioned minarets. Engravers, minters, masters of gold embroidery, skull caps, and others will also demonstrate their products. The Shoshmaqom ensemble and folklore groups will delight festival guests with their performances. More than 200 artisans from 80 countries and over 1,000 from Uzbekistan regions are expected to participate in the festival.


Also, in the world city of artisans, Khukandi Latif, the International Handicrafts Museum is expected to be opened, where exhibits from all over the world will be presented. Currently, by the decision of the Government of the country, the exhibition of the museum being organized is created by scientific employees of the State Museum of History and Culture of Fergana Region.
