University of Wyoming delegation arrives in Uzbekistan to establish a partnership

University of Wyoming delegation led by Vice Provost of Global Engagement Isadora Helfgott has arrived in Uzbekistan.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, the delegation also includes the Dean of the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources Dr. John Koprowski and the Chair of the Department of Geology and Geophysics Professor Mark Clementz.

The program of the visit includes meetings at the ministries of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Energy, Agriculture, Tourism and Sports, the State Committee for Geology, the State Committee for Nature Protection, the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, as well as at the University of Geological Sciences, Tashkent State University of Economics, National University, Samarkand State University, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, Bukhara State University and the Bukhara branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration.

The delegation will discuss the issues of establishing direct partnerships between the University of Wyoming and universities, interested ministries and agencies, increasing the human resources potential of Uzbekistan’s specialists by studying in the United States, organizing joint scientific and practical research, as well as establishing student exchanges.
