The National Library of Uzbekistan hosted a literary evening “The immortal legacy of Alisher Navoi” dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the great poet’s birth.
The event was attended by the Director of the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asadjon Khodjayev, head of the representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan Aydar Akhtareyev, Consultant to the Chairman of the Writers' Union Aziz Said, as well as well-known literary critics and readers.

Doctor of Historical Sciences, Deputy Director General of the State Museum of the East in Russia, compiler of the album catalog “Collection of Manuscripts of Alisher Navoi in Kazan” Ilya Zaitsev and Director of the All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature named after M.I.Rudomino Pavel Kuzmin, sent a video message to the meeting participants.

The event included a presentation of the catalog “Manuscripts of Alisher Navoi in Kazan”, which contains more than ten unique manuscripts of the great poet, stored in the National Archive and Library of Tatarstan. The catalog was compiled by the staff of the National Library of Tatarstan, the Scientific Library named after N. Lobachevsky.
