There are 200 enterprises producing more than 300 types of confectionery in the structure of the Confectionery Development Association. This year it is planned to double production and produce confectionery worth 34 million USD.
We are organizing a special camp for food producers in Tashkent region. An investment of 500 million dollars will be allocated for this project. In 2019, 50 million USD foreign investments were directed to development of confectionery production in the country. Implementation of this project will provide the country with confectionery products and expand exports to Russia and China.
According to the Chairman of the Confectionery Development Association, Bakhodir Umirshaikhov, during the quarantine period, they are also supporting people. All enterprises of the Association are promptly producing necessary products. A sufficient reserve of production has also been created.
