A delegation led by the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov.

Vladimir Voronkov was informed about the essence, content and priority areas of the constitutional reform being carried out in Uzbekistan.

The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the International Conference on Afghanistan, which is scheduled for July 25-26 in Tashkent.

The Under-Secretary-General emphasized that the UN firmly supports Uzbekistan’s initiative to convene this important forum and is ready to make its worthy contribution to its successful holding.

The parties discussed issues of enhancing and deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN, which over the past five years has reached a qualitatively new level.
