On June 30 – July 1, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will pay an official visit to the country.

The high-ranking guest’s stay program in Tashkent includes holding high-level talks.

The agenda includes further enhancing and strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN and its institutions and current aspects of global politics and regional interaction. Particular attention will be paid to supporting measures to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan.

The UN Secretary-General will also visit several industrial and social facilities and hold bilateral meetings and events during the visit.
