UN Secretary-General lays flowers at the Independence Monument
UN Secretary-General António Guterres visited the New Uzbekistan Park after arriving in Tashkent, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The distinguished guest laid flowers at the Independence Monument.

During the inspection of the complex, he was informed about the ideological content and architectural design of this ensemble.

The monument was erected in 2021 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. It depicts the most important events from the country’s ancient history to the present day. The Humo bird crowns the monument.

The images of great scientists and thinkers, courageous commanders, and brave conquerors, our Jadid ancestors, captured on the complex’s walls attracted the delegation members’ attention.
