Uzbekistan’s two talented chess players won the World Cadet and Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships in Rhodes, Greece.

Umida Omonova scored 8 wins and 1 draw in the blitz among girls under 16 and became the world champion. Humoyun Bekmurodov was awarded a silver medal among 12-year-olds.

Over 330 young chess players from 40 countries took part in the World Championships.
