Ulugbek Qosimov: “The Presidential election is an important political event that will determine the further development and prosperity of our country, the well-being of our multinational people”

Today at 8:00 am, the voting process began in high spirits at 861 polling stations organized on the territory of the 9th Surkhandarya electoral district for the early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the Single Electronic Voter List, 1 million 415 thousand 767 voters are expected to vote in the district. Of these, 8,273 are young people participating in the elections for the first time. From June 28 to July 5, 43,563 citizens voted for the chosen candidate ahead of schedule.

2,569 residents of Shodlik will vote at polling station No. 260, located in the Youth Center of Termez. About thirty of them will participate in the elections for the first time. Voters visit the polling station early in the morning to make their choice.

Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov was among the first to vote at this polling station.

– The Presidential Election is an important political event that will determine the further development and prosperity of our country and the well-being of our multinational people, – said Mr. Qosimov. – Participation in this process is our right and honorable duty, enshrined in the Constitution.
