The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London has organized virtual talks between the Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Transport University Bakhodir Turayev and the Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Wolverhampton Tim Steele with the participation of teachers from two higher education institutions.

The parties exchanged views on the specification of promising areas of cooperation and joint academic projects in transport. The British side was informed about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in higher education with the introduction of advanced educational standards, as well as training highly qualified personnel.

The parties agreed on the joint development and implementation of a dual-diploma program with a special focus on mechanical engineering, civil aviation and the automotive industry. The program will involve specialists from among the native English speakers to ensure the quality of education.

It is also planned to organize advanced training courses for the teaching staff of the Uzbekistan university, invite British professors to teach at TSTU on a contract basis and organize joint scientific workshops.

The parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to legally consolidate inter-university collaboration.
