Almost every rural house in Uzbekistan’s Uchkurgan district has a walnut tree. In the summer heat, trees give people shade, and using their fruits is beneficial for many diseases. It is no secret that nuts are in great demand worldwide.

The Golden Leaves enterprise in “Shahrikhonchek” mahalla of the district specializes in processing nuts, pistachios, mung bean, and wood.

About a hundred people are provided with jobs at the enterprise. Today, they are busy processing walnuts. The enterprise distributes to home-based workers the fruits of walnuts collected in the yards of the local population and received from other regions of the country. Finished nut kernels in packaged form go to local markets and the markets of Russia, Türkiye, Georgia, and other countries.
