UAE investment activity increases
13:13 / 2026-02-04

In recent years, Jizzakh region has been developing rapidly in terms of attracting foreign investment.

Increasing the number of enterprises with UAE capital participation indicates the strengthening of the territory’s economic potential.

According to the National Statistics Committee, there are 404 joint ventures in Uzbekistan with the participation of UAE capital, 6 of which are in Jizzakh region.  This indicates the increased attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s investment environment in the international arena.

Enterprises with UAE capital participation in Jizzakh region specialize mainly in industry, services, agriculture, and infrastructure, with a focus on introducing advanced technologies, the rational use of local raw materials, and the production of export-oriented products.

The scale of investment projects implemented under international cooperation is expanding in the region. In accordance with investment projects totaling $540 million, work is underway in the automotive industry, infrastructure, agriculture, and other areas to increase the territory’s economic potential. Projects are being implemented to develop renewable energy sources, particularly solar photovoltaic power plants. This helps improve the region’s energy potential and introduces the principles of a green economy.

Experts believe that, as the investment environment improves and the opportunities in free economic zones are effectively leveraged, the number of projects involving UAE capital will increase. This will contribute to the socio-economic development of the territories, provide employment, and improve the standard of living.
