TURKSOY contributes to preserving spiritual values

A regular meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY was held.

First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Akhmedov noted the historical and cultural significance of declaring the city of Shusha “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” in 2023 and congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev’s birth, and the 30th anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture.

The meeting participants noted that TURKSOY not only promotes the study, preservation, and popularization of the spiritual values, historical and cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking states, organizes cultural forums, but also strengthens its place in Europe and serves recognition throughout the world.

It should be noted that the cities of Astana, Turkestan, Eskişehir, Kastamonu, Bursa, Kazan, Mary, Shaki, Osh, and Khiva were declared the cultural capitals of the Turkic world.
