SD Turkmen Haly JV hosted the Turkmen Carpet Festival in Bukhara.

Turkmen carpets, handmade from natural materials, are known worldwide for their color and harmony of patterns. Carpet is a national brand, the pride of the Turkmen people, which is why the Carpet Festival is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of May.

Strong long-term ties of good neighborliness between the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples are also strengthening ​​carpet weaving. At the SD-Turkmen Haly JV, more than 100 women are learning the secrets of carpet weaving from Turkmen masters. The enterprise has created an exhibition pavilion with detailed information about the history of Turkmen carpets and the customs and traditions of the fraternal people.

At the event, songs were performed in Uzbek and Turkmen languages.
