Istanbul University hosted a conference “Singer of the Spiritual World” timed to the 200th anniversary of the great Karakalpak poet Ajiniyaz Qosibay uli’s birth.

The participants stressed the event’s importance. Scientists from Türkiye and Karakalpakstan lectured on the great poet’s literary heritage and the culture of the Turkic peoples.

Ajiniyaz Qosibay uli is one of the great and wise poets, who left an invaluable legacy for future generations and literature fans. This year, many events were held to familiarize the people of the world with his legacy. The opera “Ajiniyaz” was presented, the artistic-publicistic film “Ajiniyaz” was shot, and a poet’s museum was created at the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. An international conference devoted to his work was held, and the poet’s anniversary was widely celebrated in Tashkent.

Young people received detailed information about the great poet’s creativity at the conference.
