The Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov received a delegation led by the head of the Turkish company ND İmar İnşaat ve Ticaret A.Ş. Nadir Doğan.
At the meeting, Ulugbek Qosimov noted that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye have been actively developing, and cooperation between the two fraternal countries has been strengthening. New projects implemented in Surkhandarya region with Turkish investors’ participation contribute to the growth of the oasis economy. Currently, 17 joint ventures operate in cooperation with Türkiye. In the last five years, foreign direct investment of $58 million has been attracted.

During the conversation, the head of the Turkish company expressed deep satisfaction with the implementation of new projects in the region and presented a two-stage master plan for the region’s socio-economic development, designed for 10 million people by 2050 and 20 million people by 2070. Issues such as participation in the development of the master plan for the city of Termez, programs for the production of finished products from raw materials and semi-finished products and export to world markets, and the organization of large production and industrial zones were also discussed.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on developing the technical and economic aspects of projects and beginning practical actions with the involvement of qualified specialists from the parties.
