Socio-economic projects are being implemented jointly with Turkish businesspeople in Bukhara region.
One of such projects is implemented at Bukhoro Varnet Cluster. Over the past four years, the company has expanded the scope of its activities by almost 10 times. The enterprise has created modern greenhouses on 30 hectares, of which 16 hectares of land are already used at full capacity. The complex, which is being built by a leading Turkish company at the expense of 80.2 million euros, employs 400 people. By the end of the year, this figure will reach 2500.
“Agricultural products grown in our greenhouses are mainly exported to Russia and neighboring Kazakhstan”, says Beshim Khamroyev, Director of the Bukhoro Varnet Cluster. – Since the beginning of the year, the volume of exports has reached 1,600 tons. Tomatoes were exported for $1.6 million. According to the recommendation of specialists who arrived from Turkey, up to 300 tons of products are obtained from one hectare. It is also important that the crop of tomatoes grown by hydroponics using innovative technologies is free from the effects of chemicals.
Three major projects are being implemented in Bukhara region with Turkish partners. Turkish companies are expected to invest $245.2 million.
