A delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar arrived in Namangan region on a working visit.

The Ambassador met with the Deputy Hokim of the region – the head of the regional Department of Investments and Foreign Trade Okibjon Inomov and discussed the prospects of investment cooperation.

14 investment projects worth $221.9 million are being implemented in Namangan together with Turkish companies. $124.6 million is planned to be spent on projects in the textile industry.

There are 25 joint ventures in the region, including with the participation of Turkish entrepreneurs. In 2021, $15.1 million of foreign investments were attracted from Turkey, and $9.7 million of foreign investments were attracted in the first quarter of 2022.

The guests visited Namangan State University, where they got acquainted with the educational process and results of projects implemented within the framework of international cooperation.
