Turkey to open a branch of the University of Health Sciences in Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya

At the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Gulistan Medical Cluster, which includes six medical institutions in Syrdarya region, will start fully operating by the end of 2022.

The most advanced clinics of foreign countries will be involved in cooperation with the cluster as partners. Complex high-tech surgical operations will be performed here.

The cluster is being created in Uzbekistan for the first time at this level. A branch of the Turkish University of Health Sciences will be created at Gulistan Medical College. Students admitted to the branch will study for three years in Uzbekistan and three years in Turkey. Thirty percent of students will be allowed to study on a grant basis. The study will be carried out in the form of full-time education in the state and English languages.

Members of the delegation of the Turkish University of Health Sciences, accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Health Amirillo Inoyatov, visited the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region.

The guests were informed about the possibilities of medical institutions, about the work carried out in the region to protect the health of the population and provide it with exemplary medical care.

The Turkish guests also met with the Hokim of Syrdarya region Gofurjon Mirzayev and exchanged views on the upcoming joint work, the opening of a branch of the university and its activities.
