Uzbekistan media representatives are visiting Turkey to become acquainted with the tourism sector development of the country.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey has prepared and introduced into practice the program “Healthy Tourism Certification”. This program, carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes the supervision of health protection activities, accommodation of guests and workers in the tourism sector.

“Turkey is becoming an example to the whole world thanks to the progressive healthcare system and methods of treatment during the pandemic”, says Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. – We have taken into account every aspect for tourists. The number of applications for safe tourism certification and the number of certified sites is increasing. There are relatively few COVID-19 cases in tourist areas such as Aydin, Antalya and Mugla. There is a proverb that clearly demonstrates the hospitality of Turkish people “We do not close our gates”.

Guests wishing to spend a vacation during the pandemic are provided with all conditions. A medical insurance package for conducting tests for COVID-19 is organized. Within the framework of insurance packages worth 15, 19 and 23 euros, purchased at the airports, all medical expenses will be covered, respectively, up to 3, 5, 7 thousand euros.

Media representatives who started their journey in Istanbul get acquainted with Antalya’s historical monuments.

Antalya’s main income, which for 30 years consisted only of fields, comes from tourism. Hotels on the seashore began to be built in the 90s to develop the city. The state has created all the conditions for investors and entrepreneurs who want to go in for tourism. The agricultural sector brings good income – the export of tomatoes and citrus fruits.
