On August 22, the “Trumpet of Peace” International Festival kicked off in Tashkent with the participation of military bands of member states and observers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Thousands of compatriots gathered in several locations in the city of Tashkent to listen to the best examples of musical works performed by military bands from different countries. The military band of the Republic of Belarus performed in the square of the Palace of Arts “Friendship of Peoples”, the military band of the Russian Federation on the square of the Committee of Interethnic Relations, the military band of the Republic of Tajikistan on the square of “Ashkhobod” Park, the military band of the Kyrgyz Republic on the square of the shopping complex “Megaplanet”, the military band of the Republic of India in the Blue Domes Alley, and the military band of the People’s Republic of China performed on the square of the State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi.

Music glorifying patriotism, bravery and courage, musical works of world classics, pop and jazz music were performed at the festival. Drill performances were demonstrated.
