The Presidential Decree “On measures to enhance the role of tourism in the economy through a sharp increase in the flow of tourists and an accelerated expansion of the range of tourist services in 2025-2026” of May 15 this year defines key targets for the tourism industry until the end of 2025.
Trips for 15.8 million foreign tourists to Uzbekistan will be organized, and $4 billion worth of tourism services will be exported. Starting from June 1, citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman will be granted a visa-free regime for 30 days from entry into Uzbekistan. Regional tourism development programs for the next year will be developed annually until November 30, and the International Tourism Week will be held in the third week of November.
To expand the flow of tourists from foreign countries, agreements have been reached on purchasing 14 Airbus aircraft and leasing five. 378 additional tour operators will be created. Starting in June, as a part of the “Travel to Uzbekistan!” program, Saturday and Sunday of the second week of each month will be declared “Family and Team Travel Day”.
