On May 23, a charity concert of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the direction of UNESCO Artist for the World Vladimir Spivakov will take place on the stage of the International Palace of Forums “Uzbekistan”.
The program, already loved by listeners in Moscow and many other cities of Russia, is called by the maestro “Corner of France”. Vladimir Spivakov has long been famous as a subtle connoisseur of French culture, and now he will delight Tashkent music lovers with exquisite interpretations of the masterpieces of French composers.
Under the direction of the maestro, fragments from the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet will be performed in Rodion Shchedrin’s transcription for strings and percussion instruments (“Carmen Suite”), “Pavane” by Gabriel Fauré – an appeal to the ancient genre of stately court dance, the suite “Paris” by Jacques Ibert – a musical tour of the capital of France in six parts and the legendary “Bolero” by Maurice Ravel – a work that reflected the well-known passion of the author for Iberian culture.
The charity concert for students of musical and cultural institutions will be held with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and the Art, Science, and Sports Charitable Foundation.
