A meeting between Shomik Mehndiratta, World Bank Practice Manager for Transport in Europe and Central Asia, and Bakhrom Shokirov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Tashkent Invest, took place in the Tashkent City Hokimiyat.

The parties discussed issues related to programs implemented in Tashkent with the support of the World Bank, new areas of cooperation in transport, in particular, improving domestic and regional transport links, as well as private financing of the sector.

At the same time, agreements were reached on attracting investments for the construction of new roads, coordinating World Bank assistance, cooperation in public transport and ensuring road safety.
