The event was organized in cooperation with the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Surkhandarya region’s khokimiyat via videoconferencing. It was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, deputies of regional Kengash of people's deputies, heads of standing committees, employees of ministries and agencies, heads of local enterprises, organizations and institutions, mass media representatives. Local khokims, deputies of local Kengashes of people's deputies, heads of relevant organizations and institutions followed the workshop in district and city studios.

It was noted that the State Program approved by the President is aimed at socio-economic development, introduction of latest scientific achievements in all spheres, innovative ideas and technologies, deepening reforms, improving people’s wellbeing.

Large-scale activity will also be carried out on providing the population with clean drinking water, reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems, construction of affordable houses and repairing medical institutions.

Reports of responsible persons of authorized ministries and agencies on tasks assigned to them within the framework of the State Program were heard. Activity of deputies of local Kengashes on ensuring timely execution of tasks defined in the program was explained in detail.
