Towards the population’s health
Events of the Month of Patronage being conducted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan are being arranged on a high level in Namangan Region as well.
Events of the Month of Patronage being conducted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan are being arranged on a high level in Namangan Region as well.Large-scale reforms being implemented under the leadership of the country’s President in the health care system as a priority area of social policy are an important factor in protecting the population’s health and in further raising the quality and effectiveness of medical services.
Medical awareness and prophylactics events being held with the goal of propagating a healthy lifestyle among the population are especially important here.
The Month of Patronage being arranged as part of the implementation of the Maternal and Child Health state programme is one of such events.
“The aim of the Month of Patronage being conducted on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of out Homeland’s independence is to further expand the practical work directed towards protecting the population’s health and to give material and moral support to pregnant women and women of fertile age, children, lone elders, disabled people and patients in need of social protection,” says Solikhon Mominov, head of the Namangan Regional health directorate.
At the moment, large-scale work is being carried out at this primary medical - public health level on arranging medical examinations. In providing medical patronage help, advanced experiences in developed countries of the world were deeply studied, and a modern system for training and re-training specialists was formed. Today nearly 660 general practitioners and more than 1440 secondary medical specialists are providing effective services for the population..
More than 2780 doctors and 4200 secondary medical personnel from regional, town and district medical establishments are involved in events of the Month of Patronage in order to ensure its effectiveness. During this month, visits will be made to people’s homes to study medical and social conditions there and to find solutions to any existing health problems.
As part of the Month of Patronage, healthy lifestyle propagation events will be held in neighbourhoods, educational establishments and enterprises.
