Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko approved an action plan for the development of tourism.

According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, new routes are planned. The cross-border tourist route “The Great Silk Road” will be launched. The joint plan provides for 20 events, including the “Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan and Russia”. Special tourist packages on gastronomic, extreme, winter tourism will be developed, study tours for students from Uzbekistan and Russia will be organized.

Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission, Uzbekistan – Russia Subcommittee on Cooperation in Tourism will be created.
