The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on measures to create modern service and tourist facilities in the mountain and recreational areas of Kashkadarya region.

With the participation of qualified specialists from local and foreign companies, a plan will be developed to construct modern service complexes and tourist infrastructure facilities, including hotels, guest houses, health, shopping and entertainment facilities, cable cars, and ski resorts. Tourist facilities will be organized in the “Katta Ura” mahalla of Qamashi district. Among them is the tourist center “Maydanak Baland Tog”, which will be 58.6 hectares. In Shakhrisabz district, 240 hectares will be allocated for Shakhrisabz Tourist Center.

For the development and management of new tourist centers, a department for the development and management of tourism infrastructure in Kashkadarya region will be created in the form of a state institution, which will be located in Shakhrisabz district.

In 2024-2025, vacant land plots will be sold at auction with the condition of payment in equal shares over 10 years to build additional hotels, guest houses, service complexes, as well as recreation areas on the territory of the citizens’ assembly of the “Miraki”, “Amir Temur”, “Uloch”, “Polmon” and “Katta Ura” mahallas with the involvement of private investment.
