From May 15 to 17, the Guangzhou International Travel Fair was held in Guangzhou, China.

A delegation from Surkhandarya region actively participated in the event, presenting comprehensive information about the region’s tourism potential.

According to the head of the delegation, Akramjon Khalilov, the region’s historical and cultural landmarks, national customs and traditions, and gastronomic and tourism opportunities were showcased.

“Our presentation drew significant interest from the participants”, said Mr. Khalilov. “They were especially captivated by the architecture and monuments of Buddhist culture, which offer deep insights into the region’s past. They also appreciated the national attire and cuisine. Particular interest was shown in the rich and intricate embroidery on traditional skullcaps”.

During the event, members of the regional delegation held meetings with representatives of leading international tourism companies and concluded important agreements to foster cooperation.
