Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan delegations are attending the 6th meeting of the Tourism Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, in Kokand.

On June 23, the guests visited the sights of Fergana region, got acquainted with the tourism potential.

In Margilan, the guests became interested in the Handicraft Center. Members of the delegation got acquainted with the samples of products of the national handicraft. Hokim of the region Khayrullo Bozorov provided information about the work carried out to develop tourism in the region.

Members of the delegation got acquainted with the creative process in the International Pottery Center of Rishtan district. There are also 20 two-storey houses for potters, the Rishtan History Museum, and a banking services center. A workshop and a shop are located on the ground floor of the buildings, and families of potters live on the second floor.

The center, built on the initiative of the President of the country, has become an example of high attention to artisans. Handicraft products are exported to Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and UAE.

The guests were accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov.
