Tourism continues to grow in Bukhara

Thanks to several regulatory documents adopted on the initiative of the Head of state in tourism and the vast opportunities defined therein, all tourism areas are rapidly developing in Uzbekistan.

This can be seen in the example of Bukhara region. In 2023, 19 hotels, 12 hostels, and 44 family guest houses were created. The number of tourism organizations increased from 119 to 142. 25,149 jobs were created in tourism and related industries. 1 million 387 thousand foreign tourists visited the region. Exports of tourism services provided to foreign tourists amounted to $339.1 million. 3 million 490 thousand Uzbekistan people visited Bukhara region.

Festivals, exhibitions and fairs are organized annually, such as “Silk and Spices”, “Jewelry and Embroidery Festival”, and “International Pilgrimage Tourism Week”. To further develop domestic and outbound tourism, an Archaeological Park was created on the site of the Ark fortress, which was destroyed 100 years ago.

In Bukhara region, more than 200 tourist sites are visited by foreign and domestic tourists, which are included in tourist routes.
