Abulqosim Madrasah, located in Tashkent’s Beshyogoch district, is one of the architectural monuments that tells about Uzbekistan’s rich history and culture.

Abulqosim Madrasah, located in Tashkent’s Beshyogoch district, is one of the architectural monuments that tells about Uzbekistan’s rich history and culture.

The Madrasah was built by Abulqosim Eshon, one of the prominent figures of his time, in 1855-1867. It is the largest architectural monument in Tashkent. The Madrasah was also known as Qorikhon Eshon, Madikhon Qozi, Abulqosim Eshon. Its founder, Abulqosim Eshon, died in 1892.

According to historical sources, famous Uzbek writers Abdulla Qodiriy and Gulom Zafariy graduated from this madrasah.

Handcrafters workshop was launched here in 1983 after renovation of the building.
