A Road Show took place at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand. It was attended by tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers and restaurateurs from Samarkand, Samarkand region and Kazakhstan’s Shymkent.

Businesspeople presented tourism facilities, as well as the investment and tourism potential of their cities. Meetings for representatives of the tourism industry of the two countries also took place here. Uzbekistan tour operators and travel agents could talk with potential partners from Shymkent.

Following the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between representatives of the tourism business of Samarkand and Shymkent, and an agreement was reached on strengthening cooperation in the future.
