In the F12 class of para-athletics, Uzbekistan’s Sofia Burkhanova won a gold medal in the women’s shot put with a result of 14.78 meters.

Second place went to Italian Assunta Legnante (14.62), while Mexican Rebecca Alvarez (13.72) took the third.

Uzbekistan sports delegation has won 17 medals so far: 7 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze.
