The International Media Hall hosted a screening of the feature film “To the Edge of the World”, shot by the Cinematography Agency and Japan’s Loaded Films LTD.

The event was attended by representatives of the public, guests from Japan, representatives of the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan. The filmmakers informed about the filming, the difficulties they had to face.

– “To the Edge of the World” was filmed in 2018, – says actor Adiz Rajabov. – I played the role of a translator. At first, there were some difficulties with the language, but then I managed, got acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Japanese people.

The film tells about a Japanese journalist who travels around Uzbekistan and gets acquainted with national traditions. The film was written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. The film stars Mirza Azizov, Muyassar Berdikulova, Anvar Kartayev, Zulfiya Rayimkulova, Atsuko Maeda, Shota Sometani, Ryo Kase, Tokio Emoto.

The premiere took place at the 72nd Locarno Film Festival and was recognized as the best film of the festival.
