Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE) and the University of Portsmouth (UoP) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Public Education of the Republic Rustam Karimjonov, Advisor to the Minister of Public Education Ulugbek Kasimkhodjayev, TIUE Rector Sarvar Babakhodjayev, Ambassador Said Rustamov. The British side was represented by the UoP Vice-Chancellor Graham Galbraith, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Chris Chang, Regional Director of the British Council Richard Everitt and Acting Director of the British Council in Uzbekistan Jamilya Gulyamova.

Both sides emphasized their interest in the implementation of the provisions of the signed Memorandum, which include cooperation under the double degree program in various disciplines, the introduction of the curriculum of a British university in the educational process, the implementation of research and development activities, as well as training students within the framework of exchange programs.
