The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a regular meeting.

The participants considered issues on appeals received by the CEC during preparations for the Presidential Election, accreditation of observers and media representatives from international organizations and foreign states, and information from the chairpersons of some district election commissions on the preparation and conduction of elections.

“On June 24-27 this year, the Central Election Commission received 13 appeals from individuals and legal entities”, said B. Yunusov, a CEC member. – It should be noted that the CEC, based on the legislative acts, responds promptly to all appeals received from individuals and legal entities. The remaining seven were sent to specialized organizations.

The participants also discussed issues of accreditation of international observers and media representatives. In particular, according to the presentation of the Foreign Ministry, 77 observers from the CIS, SCO and foreign countries have been accredited.

Based on the appeals received by the CEC, 102 representatives of domestic and foreign media have been accredited. To date, the total number of accredited media representatives is 1,257.
