On the first day of the Asian Junior Fencing Cup, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s representatives won three medals.

More than 200 athletes from 11 countries are competing in the individual foil events. The members of Uzbekistan’s national team won one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. The gold medal was claimed by Salima Ruziyeva, the silver by Bibioysha Khusanboyeva, and the bronze by Perizat Mauinbergenova.

Tomorrow, the girls’ team foil competitions will take place, along with individual épée events and boys’ individual sabre bouts.

The Asian Cup will continue until September 13.
