Special attention is being paid in the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, north-western Uzbekistan, to ensuring the stable functioning of its economic branches and social sphere in the autumn-winter season of 2016-2017 and uninterrupted supplies of drinking water, natural gas and electricity to consumers.

Chimboy District has made thorough preparations for the autumn-winter season, and 172 km long drinking water networks have been inspected.

“Our enterprise provides clean drinking water to 61 organizations, establishments and more than 5 thousand people’s homes in the district,” says Duysenbay Adilov, chief engineer of the district’s drinking water network enterprise.

Special attention is also paid to satisfying remote district steppe villages’ needs for clean drinking water. For this purpose, a new 6.3 km long water pipeline was built and put into operation this year.

In Muynoq District, too, there has been discussion with the participation of officials of relevant organizations and specialists about the implementation of work for the autumn-winter season, and measures are being taken to remove existing shortcomings.

The district’s population is supplied with natural gas through 235 km of pipes. The pipes were cleaned, and existing natural gas distribution facilities were repaired to ensure the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to people’s homes in the winter season too.

“Before the autumn-winter season, 4 high-pressure and 119 medium -pressure natural gas distribution points were repaired. This year the provision of liquefied natural gas was ensured for people living in the territories of two more steppe village citizens’ gatherings. Now 943 households in the district use this affordable and convenient fuel,” says Yerkin, Yesbergenov, chief engineer of the Muynoq branch of the Shimolgaztaminot unitary enterprise.

These kinds of measures being taken in localities make it possible for households and enterprises to comfortably live through the autumn-winter season.
